Easter 2012 Style

For Easter this year we went down to the "lot" and had a crawfish boil! I normally ask my father in law to boil crawfish for my Birthday so those chose to do it for Birthday and Easter:)
The kids love it down there because they have free reign and can run around and play outside all day. My husband tends to love it mostly bc he rode the jet ski all day! LITERALLY! All of the kids enjoyed riding the jet ski also. Fun times making memories.

Bahamas Trip

Of course I am so far behind on blogging. I just can't find the time in the day to blog even though I love to keep up with our everyday.

I figured I would start off with a post about our amazing trip to the Bahamas. Well we won this trip at Marriage Conference. Can I say AMAZING! The most dreadful part (for me) was the flight. I do not like to fly-at all! Our trip was awesome. I enjoyed spending 7 days with my man. We had time to talk and just enjoy each other. We were able to go to one of the top 5 beaches in the world-Gold Rock Beach. It was breathtaking. I really believe that heaven will have a beach like that. I can't imagine what the number 1 beach would look like!

As for our 3 kiddos, I don't think they missed us a bit! They were back at home with maw-maw and paw-paw enjoying the break from us. You know grandparents let them do some different things and of course they love it.
Thank you for being the best maw-maw and paw-paw ever and for keeping our kids for a week!

New Ride

The Booksh Bunch is no longer a mini van family. We traded in our van and bought a new ride! We are loving it! I never thought I would love something as much as my van but I must say I am loving my Sorrento. We are so blessed!

Saturday Night Fun

Saturday night we took the kids back to Gattiland. It is laffayette and they kids love it. It is like an arcade, pizza, and fun attractions like- go carts- all in one place. I am so thankful that our kids get this opportunity. They are such a blessing and I am so thankful for them.

First Tent Camping Trip

Well we survived our first tent camping trip! Braden is in cub scouts and they have a winter camp out every year. For several years they have been trying to get the polar bear award-Let's just say we accomplished just that! To get the badge you have to tent camp in 32 degree weather. Our thermometer at the campsite said 27 degrees but the rangers said that they had a low of 22. Technically it doesn't really matter what temp it was because it was freezing!!!! I did stick it out and we had a good time but I do know that next year we will cheat like everyone else and have a nice big heater to keep us warm:))

Each den had to make a cobbler and Braden's den won the contest and got the spoon!


This was one worn out little boy. We had a great time on our first camping trip even though we were freezing!

Happy 95th Birthday to my grandmaw

Happy Birthday to the most amazing women I have ever known. I am so thankful to have her in my life. She is amazing!

New Years

We spent New Years at Moonshine! That is the family hunting camp that they have rebuilt and it meets my high standards to sleep there! Maybe next year I will kill a deer or something:) Can I say that the kids had a blast! They played with their cousins and just had a good old time! Muddy was not the word! A good time was had by all and we are excited to start out the new year and see what the Lord has in store for our family in 2012.
