Winter Wonderland

Well, let's just say that I was at work when it first started snowing in Baton Rouge. I even got the luxury of driving home in the snow from work. You should of seen all of us Southern People on the interstate going 20 MPH with our Flashers on! What the Heck? It was amazing! The Lord really blessed us with this snow. When we were in AZ I wanted to ride up to Flagstaff to go see the snow but the kids were fussy and tired so we decided to not go. Then we come home and we get 4 inches of snow in Louisiana. The kids had so much fun playing in the snow with daddy. Anyway, hope everyone in Louisiana enjoyed the snowy day: )

Wild,Wild,West!!

What an amazing time we had in Arizona. This was my first visit to the Wild Wild West! To start off we drove straight through from Louisiana to Tucson,Arizona. What a trip it was! We had a wonderful ride in and enjoyed the scenary. The kids were amazing for the trip. We could not of asked for them to do any better.
When we got there we stayed in a hotel room for the first night and went to the campground the next and that is where we would be for the next 10 days. We visited with a lot of friends while we were there. Johnathon really enjoyed seeing all of his old houses and seeing people that meant a lot to him when he lived there. I could not wipe that smile off of his face the entire drive there. We were able to do a few things aside from all the visting. We took the kids to the Phoenix Zoo, which was so much fun. We attemtpted to ride these bikes while we were there!! That was a joke! Maybe in Louisiana we could pedal those bikes, but not in the mountains! So, we rented a paddle boat and went in the pond instead. The kids had so much fun. We also took them to Rawhide. That was AWESOME! They just loved it. They panned for gold, rode a donkey, watched a shootout and rode the train. It was amazing! The kids enjoyed every minute of the time they were able to spend with their Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw.We took them to a park that was so nice! They thought it was so cool that Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw were going to the park with them and playing with them! I wish we had parks like that in Louisiana.

We attempted to go to one of Johnathon's favorite places-Oak Creek Canyon. It was a beautiful ride into Sedona. Although my father-in-law was scaring me to death driving up them mountains at 80mph. Now who thinks that the speed limit should be 80mph going up and around those mountains?!?!? Anyway, when we got to Oak Creek Canyon it was raining cats and dogs out there but we still attempted to go and walk through. It was still so beautiful.

We had an amazing trip and enjoyed every minute of the time we were able to spend as a family. There were some ruff patches due to the kids not feeling very well before we left but all turned out well and we made some memories. Baylee wants to move to Arizona now. She loves it! She said "Mother, there is so many fun things to see here!" The real reason we went to Arizona was to go to Johnathon's Cousin, Ryan's wedding. The wedding was so beautiful. What an Awesome time we had. The Lord really blessed us to be able to go on this trip! My kids have been more places in their short amount of time here, than I have in my entire life! What a blessing that is to see your children being able to have the experiences at such a young age.

Libby Lu Du

Our baby girl is 5! Time flys by so fast when you are having fun! For her Birthday we went to Libby Lu. She just had a blast! They did her hair and make-up and danced and all that fun girl stuff. She had 5 of her favorite friends there. She got an American girl baby doll for her Birthday from mommy and daddy. She has been a really good mommy. She even woke up the first night and did a night feeding on her! LOL!

She also got a ton of dollars! Earlier in the year she told her Aunt Jessica that she wanted $34 dollars. Now where would that come from?!?!?! She thought she was so cool with all those dollar bills! Nothing feels more rewarding than seeing your child smile and be so happy! We are blessed with some wonderful children even though they can drive us crazy at times. What more could you want in life?!?!?! Until next time folks.

Elmo Live

We are already off to a fun start this month and it is only the first week of the month. What more could you ask for:) We took the kids to Elmo Live tonight. At first I thought Baylee might be a little to old for Elmo but she had a blast!! She stood on her chair and danced away all night! Like I said she has been very scared of people dressed up, such as Elmo, but she went right up to the stage with her superhero(daddy) and shook Zoe's hand. She thought she was the coolest! Our baby Girl is growing up!
Now with Mr. Braden Kyle, he stood on his chair the entire time and did not budge. He was glued in can I tell you! You could not get him to take a picture because he could not look at the camera long enough to take one. He had fun also.
James, Britt and Kylee came with us. Kylee was mesmerized by the whole thing too! She did not say much either! She just wanted to be on her Uncle Bubbla all night! Johnathon just loves him some Kylee Ann! It was so nice and a very enjoyable night as a Family! We had two tired kiddos by the time we left but had a wonderful time

Pirates, Spiders, and Butterflies oh my!

For Halloween night we took the kids to "Boo at the Park." They had a blast! They walked around and got candy first then were able to play on the playground. We went with all of there cousins which was so much fun because it is so hard to get all of us together at the same time. They had a man dressed up as a tiger from Tiger Truck Stop, that Baylee just loved. She is normally scared of people dressed up as things but all she has been talking about is the tiger!! She is so Funny! She did not want to be a pirate again so she asked if she could be a Fairy Princess. So for everything else she was a pirate but for Boo at the park she went as a fairy princess. Which led to Braden, he did not want to be a pirate anymore so he went as "Cajun Spiderman." Note the camo hat! He did not want to wear his spidey mask!!

After we left the boo at the park we went on a hayride around Grosse Tete with the kleinpeter/Stelly crew. We really enjoyed that ride also. That was something new to us! Baylee would hurry up and run to the house and get her candy and run back to the trailer so that she could be back in the trailer first. We had a wonderful time and were able to spend alot of time with family and even got to eat some really good gumbo

Boo at the Zoo

On Sunday we took the kids to boo at the zoo. It was really fun! They walk through the zoo and stop at different booths to get candy. They had a blast. This was also the first time they were able to wear their pirate costumes! I must say they are the cutest little pirates ever! They were able to take a picture with a snake. Baylee did not want to even get close to it but Braden loved it. He pet it like a puppy.

Hurricane Gustav

Well, first off we all thank the Lord that he kept us all safe for the hurricane!! It was a ruff GO for a while there. I was asked to come into work that morning of the hurricane to help out if needed. I did not know that I would be stuck there for the next thirty hours!! My employer was nice enough to provide us with an apartment for my family to stay in. So Johnathon and the kids stayed back in the apartment for the hurricane and came home the next day. It was not bad at all at my work. From the looks of Grosse Tete it was pretty ruff. Anyone who knows me knows that I am extremely scared of bad weather so I am glad that I was not in Grosse Tete for the hurricane!!We had a little damage to our home but nothing major!

We stayed with my my in laws for a week where we had three families in one house!!! Yeah, it was ruff but we made the best of it and learned alot about each other!!
The clean up was a long process but we got it done! Braden wanted to be like Paw Paw and Daddy and help out, so Maw Maw bought him is own chainsaw.
