Visit to the ENT

I took Braden to the ENT yesterday, and he said that after 1 week of antibiotics, he still has fluid behind his ear which means it is still infected. He lost the tube in his Right ear and the tube in his left is not in the right place either. He is going to stay on the antibiotic for 3 more days and we will go back to the ENT on March 4 to see how his ears look. If there is no change then we will proceed with putting tubes in both ears again and having his adenoids removed. I am believing God that they will heal but I also want him to start feeling better. He is so happy when he feels good. Well, I have the duo again today, Braden and Kylee. He is really enjoying having her here with him on his two days off from school!
On a severely sour note, Our electricity went out last night at like 1am so we called and reported the outage and they came and fixed it ASAP. Little did we know that it was not fixed. Only half of our house had electricity! Which meant I had to wait until 7am to start to getting Baylee dressed for school so we didn't leave Grosse Tete until 7:30am. Hopefully they will fix it soon enough!

Waves of Nausea!

So, I have been having these waves of nausea throughout the day all day! I had the absolute worse pregnancy with Braden and this is nothing like that but after almost 4years, I forgot what it felt like to be nauseated. Yuk!
Well, my mother-in-law is my main provider of advice as I trust what she says and know that it is right(even though I may not want to hear it), but today I also realized that we have reached a point that she has not been! She has never been pregnant and had two other children to run after. She never had a third child. What am I going to do now? I guess I will go to the next best thing-Ann who has 3 kiddos running around and one in the belly!LOL! I had Kylee and Braden today which are 2 and 3, and man I forgot what that was like also. They are some busy bee's. They enjoyed each others company though and really had a good day. Another strange thing that I just noticed is that Bella(our dog) has been acting extremely strange lately. She cries if I don't pay attention to her and wants only me. So I read up on Dachshunds, and they are extremely affectionate to a pregnant owner. That is amazing that she knew before we knew, that I was prego. A dog and their sixth sense! Going to the ENT tomorrow. Wish us luck!

Wow! A Blessing from God!

After 8 months of trying to have another baby, the Lord has blessed us with Baby #3. What an excitement it was for our family! Johnathon and I were on a dinner date Friday night and decided to run to Target where I decided to take a pregnancy test. Was I surprised when it turned out positive. We went and bought 5 more just to make sure. So we are thinking that this baby should be due in August or September. Our first Dr Appointment is Feb 6. More later!

Singing It Is!!

Baylee entered herself in the Talent try outs at school today. She chose to sing! She was so cute up there on that big stage singing without any music. She sounded so cute. She was accepted and she will be singing on the BIG stage for everyone to see in February. We are so very proud of her and we know that she is going to do a wonderful job.
On a sour note, I took my little man to the Dr today and of course his Right ear is still infected. It has been infected since before we went to Arizona. He has been so grouchy this past week and I figured that it really must be bothering him. So, we will go to the ENT next week for an eval for a tube in his right ear. He had tubes put in once and the one in the right ear fell out and we have had trouble ever since. I am praying for healing of his ears! Keep us in your prayers!

Witching Hour

I am just realizing what the words "Witching Hour" mean? It is the hours between
3p-6p. Those are some pretty ruff hours. From getting the kids home from school and trying to cook dinner, wrap up cleaning for the night, homework, taking your children to different after school activities. Their is a lot of things that go on in those three hours. I used to leave and go to work at 5pm and it was the absolute hardest time in the world to get out of the house. You have to nearly plead the blood of Jesus during those times(So you don't hurt someone!)LOL!

Where did they all go???

See, I made my first batch of Banana Bread this morning and it turned out pretty good for my first Batch. Only one problem?!?!? Where did it all go? I made a dozen banana bread muffins and two big muffins(in the shape of a rose). I fed Braden two for breakfast and left the rest on the counter top to cool. I now only have 5 little muffins left and two Big muffins. Where did 5 muffins go, oh so quickly?

I think I found the culprit! I can tell by all the crumbs on my table, which I know was clean before I left out of the kitchen. That little monkey could not get enough of the Banana bread, so he had to eat 5 more muffins. I tell you what that little face will make it all okay :)

Nothing Can Ruin your Day like....

A piece of hair in the last two bites of your chicken sandwich! Gross me out to the max! I have felt like I have a piece of hair caught in my throat all afternoon. That is just disgusting. What are you going to do about it? Go tell them and let them offer to give you another chicken sandwich? No, thank you!
We had a fun day today at the Acadiana Zoo. It is a really nice zoo, with tons of hands on exhibits for the kids. We went with Britt,Kylee and the Stelly, Party of Five! Braden ran into the play area at McDonald's and hit his head. He has a massive knot on his forehead right now. He cried for a while that is until I brought out the Happy Meal. They had a really fun day and enjoyed the zoo, McDonald's and Target!LOL! Can't make a trip anywhere unless you stop at Target :~)

Friday Night Show

Well, is is Friday night and we are chillin at the house tonight. What is there to do? I thought it would be fun to have some pizza and ice cream and watch a movie with the kiddos! We had some pizza and ice cream and showered and was about to turn on the TV to watch a movie when the kids decided to put on a Talent Show. It was so funny!Braden had Baylee's top hat on from Dance and he was shooting like he was at Rawhide and Baylee was doing her ballet show from her last year dance recital. It was incredible. They really put on a good show for mommy and daddy on a Friday night. We needed the laugh. We really have so much family time with just us four. That does not happen often enough in a lot of families. I encourage it more than anything. I missed my dad a lot growing up and wished that I would have the same experience as our children. It drives Johnathon crazy not to be home with us, eating dinner and playing games. He is a good man!It is so important and vital for a family. Hope you in enjoy the show!

Kudos to Stay-at-Home Moms

I have come to the conclusion that working is the easy part of life. I always thought that work was so hard. NOT! Staying home with these kids is the hard part. Work is easy compared to this. Thank you Lord for revealing all of these things to me. I believe that I let God down over the years. I doubted him and his abilities far to long. He is an Awesome God! Where we see ashes,he sees beauty. It has been such an emotional journey this past week. As I have prayed for Faith to move mountains and the peace that passes all understanding, I have received much more than that! I can not even begin to tell you the many blessings that have come into our home since we have been obedient to God. He has revealed so much to us. Thank you so much for the many prayers everyone has sent our way. We will serve him forever. Our cup is overflowing......!

Camo Galore

Mr. Braden Kyle gets in the van today and says, "Mom, I was mean to Joshua today because I just don't like him." What in the world?!?!? He just told on himself. I went through the whole big ordeal about how he should be his friend even though he does not like Joshua. I told him that I don't really like Maw-Maw Belinda but I am still her friend! Okay, so that was the laugh of the day. I really did not tell him that. So anyway after I explained that to him the response that I got from him was- Well mom, I still don't like Joshua. I pretty much went no where with this conversation, so I just left it alone. He is paw-paw's baby boy! There is no doubt about that. No one even compares in his eyes. And I pretty much see that the feelings are mutual between them two. They are two of a kind and he loves to spend every minute he can with him. But he will settle for us if he has too! I love my Tues/Thurs with him. Yesterday he was using my living room floor as a slip and slide. I had dusted the end tables and the floor was very slick and he just had a ball. He loves his mommy! He loves "camping clothes" aka Camo. He carries a 9mm everywhere he goes. Okay so maybe not a 9mm but a 22g or whatever you men call those guns. He shoots everything imaginable. Pretend that is. He shoots the wall, the picture frame, his daddy when he ticks him off. I don't know what I am going to do with him when he gets a little Red Rider B B gun. I am not going to have any windows left in the house! He is all Boy! He also has so much to offer. I love him so much and he is funny!

Princess Pea

So, our little girly princess does not want to go to dance anymore?!?!? Today, we were on our way to dance and she said "I am not going to dance today because I want to stay at home and have a relaxing evening with mom." Does that not sound like she is 45 instead of 5. What does she know about relaxing? I have never seen a child to identify stress as easily as her. She does not want three baby dolls because that will just be too much and she will be stressed out. She does not want mommy to have a baby because, Three children is just way too many children and if I am stressed out she will be stressed out! This child is just a mess. She has become mommy's little girl to the max. She loves to hang out with me and I love to spend as much time as possible with just her. I love hearing everything she has to say. Some days I think she is smarter than I am. Some days she reminds me to turn when I am not paying close attention. She is a pack rat! She will pack a purse so full of junk that you can not pick it up. Everyone picks on her but I think it is cute! She just loves to wear a skirt. That is her favorite! She has so much to offer to everyone. I love her so much!

Why does there always have to be another load...

Of laundry that is? Here I am up to half past midnight folding laundry and talking to myself about laundry! Where does it all come from? It is just crazy! When you think you are almost done-you look in the basket and see those boxers that have been next to the bed for a week that he finally decided to pick up and put them in the basket! You almost want to take them and put them back on the floor next to his side of the bed!(where they are not visible to the naked eye!lol!) Oh well it is a fact of life!
This week has been one of the most stressful weeks of my life. I never thought it would be so hard to give up a career. It is such a huge part of your life. I found myself at church this weekend just wanting to cry, and I did. I thought to myself, why? I am usually at work by that time and I guess it just hit me-I am jobless!! I have enjoyed the time at home but this week is going to be a big change, in routine that is! I have been working nights for 5 years and I am custom to being up at night. So, as you can imagine, I have gotten no sleep this week at all! Here it is almost 1am and I am up blogging, doing laundry and driving my husband crazy. Thank the Lord for him. I have not been the most pleasant person this week and he has been there by my side to hold my hand. At one point this week, I really felt as if no one cared about what went on in our lives. I guess they didn't realize how much it affected me-personally! It is Sunday night and I am feeling much better and looking forward to the upcoming weeks. Thank you for all the support given! Keep you posted!

Leap of Faith!

Well, as of today I am officially a stay-at-home mom! Johnathon and I have been praying for about a month about me staying at home with the kids. I mean come on there is only so long you have with them! So, I resigned from my position and I am giving everything to God. He has never failed us and never will. He has filled our cup up overflowing and we are so grateful! I have been asked by several people, how are you giving up your career to stay at home?! Don't you want to be able to provide them with much more than you had as a child?! The only thing I can say or respond to that is, these are the good times! Do you think that the Lord does not want you to have nice things and provide the quality of life that every person would dream of. A father will never let his children down. Granted, you may feel like there are things that you want and can not have but the reality is, you may not need it. He will never let any one of us down. He wants nothing but the best for His children. All I can say is if the Lord is convicting you to stay at home-DO IT! I was once told to sacrifice because obedience is far more important. Don't wait to long and be as miserable as I have been due to me not being obedient to God. You will feel such a relief and a weight lifted off of your shoulder. You will have patience that you thought you could never have. And HE will Provide. Have Faith and do it with a serving heart and the opportunities will be endless. I would much rather lose a shopping trip to Gap, than not be in His Will for my life. I know he has great plans for our life and look forward to see them in the near future!Let me not forget to thank my faithful/not worried husband.I, on the other hand, am very worried and scared! He is so wonderful to us! Thank you Lord for a strong man of God in my life. I need HIM!!LOL! The Lord loves to speak to me at 2am. Just thought I would let everyone know that.I will keep everyone posted on our status and keep us in your prayers! Pray for Peace over our Family! Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support! They are strongly welcomed! We Love You!

Mr. Chairman

When Mr.Kyle was elected for Alderman of Grosse Tete, Baylee thought that he was going to be a chairman. Let me define chairman in a 5 year old eyes- It went a little something like this. One afternoon Braden and Baylee were talking in the den, and Baylee tells Braden "Paw-Paw is going to be the new chairman in Grosse Tete. Braden responds, "What it do?" Baylee responds back "You know Braden, Paw-Paw is going to be a chairman like at church, when all the men pick up the chairs after church." Do you think we all nearly had a heart-attack laughing at this?!?!? It was so funny!

So, Paw-Paw Kyle is the official Chairman(Alderman) of Grosse Tete as of tonight. We are so very proud of him and know that he will do a wonderful job. Maw-Maw Belinda held the Bible for Paw-Paw when he was sworn in but Braden really wanted to hold Paw-Paw's Bible for him! Those kids are quite the MESS! I also put a picture of the cuties at the ceremony!

Well, this is my first blog of 2009. I know that 2009 will be just as prosperous as 2008 for the Booksh family. My cup runneth over...The Lord has blessed us incredibly this year. As I take a look back into 2008 this is what I remember:

Thank everyone for all your blogs and multiple emails back and forth. Thank you, Mr. Kyle and Mrs. Belinda for everything that you have done for us this year. From Babysitting to helping us put all those Christmas presents together, to being our Best Friends. We love you Both! My all time New Year's resolution is to Lose weight as always. So, I will be at the gym at work and try to do all the things that I do every year just maybe a little harder. I also want to make sure that we have as much time as a family as possible. We will keep all of you in our prayers as we would like you to keep us in yours. Love, The Booksh Bunch
