A little Dirt and Water

See this little plant- It has been around for 7 years. Can you believe that! My wonderful mother-in-law gave us this plant when Johnathon and I moved in together. I can't really remember what it was for but I think it was a "just because" plant. So let's see how I can put this to make it go over a little smoother-LOL-I tried to kill this plant for like a year because well, I didn't love my mother-in-law as much as I do now:-) It never died! I literally never watered it on purpose.
About a year ago, it started to die and was almost gone. Johnathon added more dirt to it and some miracle grow and cut it short again and look at it today. It is beautiful as the first day I got it.

So, I started thinking that this plant is a lot like a relationship with someone or a marriage. When you don't give this plant the water and things that it needs to survive and grow, most of the time it will die. It takes a lot to keep a plant alive. I have about 5 mums outside right now that are about DEAD! Don't know where I went wrong with them but I went wrong. Sometimes we fail to realize that we didn't fall in love with our husbands or become best friends by neglecting our relationship and putting it on the back burner for our kids and everyone else around. We fell in love with them by doing things together, spending quality time together, learning each other and what you need to keep the "PLANT" alive. All we have to do is add a little more dirt and some water and it will come back to life. Isn't that amazing??? All we have to do is add a little dirt and water to bring something back to life. I know what we consider to be our "dirt and water" is a trip to the coffee shop alone or a trip to the bookstore alone or maybe even sometimes a night together out on the town! LOL! It's such a learning and a growing process and so hard to put these relationships first before other things BUT you must to keep it alive. I think this is a struggle of all marriages and relationships when you have small children. Many times we may not know where we went wrong(like me with the mums) but it doesn't matter where we went wrong as long as we can find our way back:-)

All I want for Christmas...

is my two front teeth!

The tooth fairy official needed a government bail out this week! I say this all the time but this week it came true-Baylee pulled her tooth out after she was already in bed and we had NO cash! Thank goodness the inlaws live next door and had a few bucks we could have bc I think she would have died if I put pennies under the pillow! LOVE THIS GIRL! I must say she is sooo cute missing those teeth. I can't remember what it feels like to not have top teeth but I am sure it takes some getting used to when eating foods such as corn or an apple! LOL! LOVE YOU NAE NAE!

As real as it gets!

I am so glad that I get to do life with these people. They fulfill so many rolls in our lives that I can't even count them all- best friends, counselors, worst enemies(LOL), our parents, my inlaws, etc...The list could go on and on! I love and appreciate them more than they know! Some days it's harder to show our appreciation than other days- but at the end of the day we know where we stand with the people that's in our lives:-)

Our kids adore them! Not because they buy them every single thing that they want but because they spend quality time with each one of them. They are there for them when they need them. They know that they will be there to watch them catch the bus. They know they will make it to every Birthday party and all of their events that they have. They trust them. They love them. They need them in their lives. This my friend is the perfect example of grandparents! I pray that I can be like them when I am older and that I can learn from any of their mistakes and be there when my family needs me. I know at 49 years old(LOL) -I will want to be sitting on the couch with three very goofy, very tired, very wired up grandchildren!

We LOVE you guys! Your a HUGE part of our lives and we are so happy to do life with ya'll!

Busy Saturday

Today was a very busy Saturday! I had to go to work this AM and then I volunteered from 1-3 at the pumpkin patch. Our kids were so involved there we still like to be a part even though we don't go there anymore! I had a great time! I took the pictures. I love to take pictures esp when you have a great camera! Now if I just had a great program for editing our photos I think I would be great!

After the pumpkin patch we had our niece, Cadence's 4th Birthday Party. A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL. It was at Monkey Biz and although I can't stand Monkey Biz, the kids LOVE it! She got a lot of gifts and it was a fun time with the family!

Hornets or Ants

So, last Thursday I put Parker in the fence playing and I was working out of the fence with some flowers that I can't keep alive. All of a sudden Parker started screaming and running inside the house and he had a million bites on his right leg but no ants were around. His little leg started swelling so bad so I rushed him to the Dr. Johnathon had found some hornets on the bayou bank earlier in the week and we think that is what got him. Obviously he is allergic to something. The next day they really looked like ant bites but he had no ants on him so it is very weird. We will def keep a closer eye on that and plan on having him tested! It was scary that's for sure!

DOGS VS. SCARECROW

These two puppies showed up at our house starving! Well of course Samantha had to feed them! Well, guess what happened?? They didn't want to leave poor guys! THEY TORE UP EVERYTHING as you can tell by the picture! Several of my new Fall decorations! Oh I was not HAPPY! I ended up having to call the animal shelter and they came and took them away! THANK THE GOOD LORD! I must say it was all my fault though:-(

Can I do it..

I wonder if I can be committed enough to do a short little post everyday?!?!? That's a huge deal with 3 kids.
We didn't do much today. Me and Parker Bub hung out at home all day and then went and brought Baylee to dance. We missed church on Sunday, so we watched HPC online and was able to get caught up! Love our church. I have a few things that have happened so I have post for a few days:-)

A Year Ago.....

3 Months Old

15 Months Old

Just this Guy

ALL ABOUT B.R.A.D.E.N

He has to be one of the most funniest kids that you will ever meet! He had me and his daddy laughing most of the weekend with just funny little things that he will say. Did I mention that I think he is the cutest little guy in the world. I love this boy more than words can say and so happy that he is our big boy! He brings so much happiness to our family. He is a gentle boy, lover of silly bands, great at writing his name, and a funny guy! I mean what more can you ask for. WE LOVE YOU BRADEN KYLE!

Camping-Yogi Style

Why is it so hard to get three little people to do the same thing at the same time?!?!? Oh Maybe bc they are little people:-)

We went on our first camping trip alone with just us 5. A good time was had by all, I must say. We were able to check in early on Friday and I was so proud of Johnathon for getting us there safely. I was a little worried about him driving us with that huge camper. He did GREAT! The kids played at the park and painted ceramics later on that evening. On Saturday, we started off the morning with a "Hey" Ride as they call it at Yogi Bear. They have this big cement slide that the kids just LOVED! Did I say LOVED??? Wait I am not sure who loved it more-The older two kids or my husband?!?!?! The day just continued with fun activities and we ended the night with Trick-or-treat around the park. Baylee ended up with the stomach bug and threw up for like four hours off and on. Poor baby wasn't her normal sassy self all day today! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go again another time:-)

Best of Intentions

So, I always snap cute little snapshots almost daily of our life with great intentions of posting and as sad as it is-I almost dread it. I dread having to catch up on my blog. I dread it! It is supposed to be fun right? Well, I think if I did it as regularly as I would like it would be great! But the fact is I am a tired mother of three. At this point I don't even know where to begin. So much has happened in our lives and we have done so much so maybe I will just start from today's snapshot of our life!

Today was "Blast from the Past" day atschool so here is a pic of Baylee in the car before I dropped her off. We are not going to get into why I drove her and Braden rode the bus! Nah! We won't go there. Just enjoy the pic:-)

Then Parker and I loaded up and went to the mall. We ran our errands then I took him to busy BEE to play. He had a blast! He really is warming up and loves to play with kiddos! Also he had a total fit for this little boys bear that he built at build a bear. So, I said well he is the third child and really doesn't ever get things so I will take him to build a candy corn bear like the little boys. HE LOVES HIS BABY I MUST SAY:-)
