Movie + Popcorn Night

Tonight we just really needed a rest at home on the couch kind of night! We haven't done that in forever. We watched the movie UP because we have never seen it. I made us some kettle corn and had some koolaid and it was just that kinda night! I love these nights.

The boys had ENT appointments today so before that we went to Chuck-e-cheese and played and had yummy pizza. Then we went to the Dr and after that we went to the mall and let the kids burn off more energy. And then right after they burned off that energy we went and bought them cookies which made them re-gain that energy! LOL! I love them! They have been doing great lately! So proud of them. School is in two weeks and I can hardly believe it. Most days I don't want it to start back but then sometimes I do! So confused! I am ready for a few days peace and quiet though but I am not ready for homework. You can't have the best of both worlds can you!! Have a HAPPY TUESDAY:))

Parker's 2nd Birthday

For Parker's second Birthday we had an Elmo theme Birthday party. Parker LOVES Elmo. It was just so cute. All of the decorations and cookies and everything we worked so hard on turned out so cute. I love the first few years of Birthday parties. You can do so much with those first few parties. We did set up the slide and the kids had fun. It stormed a lot during the party but I do believe a good time was had by all! Thank you for all the gifts and for coming. We love you all.

Happy 2nd Birthday Parker

I can hardly believe that my baby is 2. For the kids Birthdays I always make them pancakes for breakfast! It's just fun and they always love it! Since his birthday party was on Saturday I didn't have time to do him a dinner and cake. Hopefully he will forgive me!

Parker you are growing up so fast. You are quite the stinker! You are so full of energy! We can barely keep an eye on you. You have been potty training for a while now and we are still working on the pooping! You are doing a great job. You wear 2t clothes. We just moved you into your big boy toddler bed and you are doing great with that. Sometimes you love to climb out and come check on us! We have to make sure you are sound a sleep. You had your first sleep over at maw-maw's last week. They said you did great but you wanted your mommy when you woke up. In a way that makes me smile because you will always be our baby boy, our little miracle. You have had a very long, ruff 2 years and I know God has BIG plans for you. You are in the 2 year old class at church and let's just say it's not your favorite place to go but you are getting used to it. We love you so much and you bring so much joy to our lives. You love being doted on by your brother and sister and they tend to give you your way also. We can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for you. We love you to the moon Parker.

VBS- HPC style:))))

I took these three to VBS at HPC last week and they had a blast! Well I know my two did and I hope that Alexander did also! I am so thankful for our church that we are at now until the Lord calls us somewhere else. Nothing great to me than seeing my two children praising the Lord. They did all sorts of fun stuff then on Wednesday night they had family night and had a bunch of inflatables and hot dogs. Who don't love a good hot dog!!

Fun times in the City

Today turned out to be a great day. We woke up and got the three kids off to VBS and then Parker and I came home and cleaned the house and read some books and played with cars and well you get the picture. Soon those three hour were up already and it was time to get the three. I let the older ones swim and put Parker for a nap which is the best time of the day bc I can enjoy some of that peace that I hear so often about! LOL! After nap we all got ready and went to get the boys hair cut and look what I got??? Yep, it's a feather but it can be taken out. I can't wait to play with it more. I have been wanting them and these were so cute and so I thought why not!!!

After the hair cuts and play time with the feathers we went to the mall and ate dinner with the kiddos. My kids love to return their chick fil e toys and get an ice cream cone. How cool is that??? They all had their ice cream and we headed to church.

Lance Leblanc preached an amazing message on spiritual warfare. And I can tell you I am going to be praying over my babies day in and day out. It really opened my eyes and I am so thankful to be part of a church where I can go and be so encouraged to do better. I know we will have days and weeks that will be trying but I am so thankful to be encouraged by great friends and a great church. We are blessed and I am thankful.

Hope everyone has a Happy Thursday. I am looking forward to the little program tomorrow night that the kids will have to complete their week at VBS!

VBS Day 2

This is the crew before we left to walk down to the Baptist church this am for VBS. They are enjoying it and doing very well. Isn't it funny how some weeks you feel like you can conquer the world and others it is a big meltdown all week. Thank the Lord for new weeks and his grace and mercy is new everyday.

Our fence is making progress. The hubby and FIL have been working hard on it. It is going to be so nice when it is finished.

And I know yall are wondering what this little boy is doing this week??? Well he bumped his chin this AM and being that I take care of bobo's at work it looks like I can take care of them at home too huh!! LOL! I think he is enjoying the peace and attention while the other kiddos are gone. He is rotten so he likes to be alone. I am sure he will miss them when they go back to school though. Happy Tuesday! It's going to be a great day! Pokeno tonight and I can't wait for the break:)

FUN WEEK

Today was the start of a fun week planned. VBS week! Which means that I am able to get a break also! Jaylin my godchild is staying the week here with us. Well, we are hoping she will last the week with us. A week is a long time. LOL!

So we woke up and I walked them to VBS and Parker and I came home and cleaned the pool out bc I knew the kids would be ready to swim. Parker actually did more bad than good. He pooped in the pool which left a big mess. We picked the kids up at noon and came home and rested a little while and then the swimming started at 3pm. They swam until 7. They only got out to eat dinner and they were starving. Mom came over with Cadence and Kylee came for a visit also. The kids were really good. I really can't say anything bad about the evening. Once they all came in and bathed, they kinda got their second wind and were working on my patience but it was a fun time. Parker doesn't like the pool so he runs around and gets in the mud as you can tell in the pics. I took a few cute pics of the kids that I thought you would enjoy!

At the end of the night, mom was getting ready to leave and Parker went to her shoes sat down and peed in them. Yes, can you believe that. What would make him pee on her shoes. WILD CHILD CAN I SAY. I had to post that so I can look back and remember it! Happy Monday all!

Date Night with my main squeeze!

Saturday night was date night. We haven't had one in a while. I always think it's a must to have dates often. We had a good time. I wasn't feeling well off and on but it went great. We went and ate at BJ's and then walked the mall. Johnathon bought me a watch on vacation and I went and got the links put in it. I love it.

After the mall, Johnathon wanted gelato. Who doesn't love gelato????? I sure do. Cheesecake gelato at that. It was great. We went to barnes and noble and picked up a few books and headed home. Parker bub doesn't sleep anywhere except home so we had to go pick him up from maw-maw and paw-paws house. GREAT DATE NIGHT:)) Thanks to the sitters!

Big Boy Bed

Look who we moved into his BIG boy bed today???

Yep, I was cleaning this AM and just decided that it was time to move Parker into his toddler bed today. I know so random. I am not really even sure what sparked it. Just ready for a change I guess. I think it is safe to say that the he loves his little bed. The first nap is always ruff. He was moving his bed around the room. Putting toys in his bed. After getting spanked about 5 times he decided it was nap time and not play time. He did great and 2 hours later is still sleeping. Let's hope this is cont.

What a day...

IT HAS BEEN!!!

Going to do some real blogging here and let everyone know we are not the perfect family that lives on Cherry Street! HA! The day started off ruff and ended ruff. God never promised we wouldn't have days like this, he just promised that it would be worth it right??? That's what I am leaning on. LOL!

This AM we decided that we were going to go to the library and check out some books. Seemed like a nice thought right?? Well, as I go take a bath and start getting ready for the day I hear Parker screaming. I honestly said to myself, "Can I just get 5 min of peace." I would have even settled for 4 today! The older kids come running in and tell me that Braden smashed Parkers foot in the door of their bedroom bc he was trying to go into his room. Baylee went and grabbed Parker and I didn't realize how bad it was. His toes were literally smashed in and they had been shifted on top of the others. I was a little worried but the nurse in me knew that there was nothing they could do for a broke toe. I was still worried. I am a nurse but I am a mother first and it had me concerned. We went to Dr Mike and he confirmed that he was pretty sure that his toes were cracked but was not sure if his growth plate was cracked and wanted to get and x-ray of it. We are still waiting on the results and we should find them out by the am.

I don't really have anything better to say about the PM. It was just as equally as rough. All three kids have been exhausted and did not rest today and we were all worn out. Daddy is gone out of town and it's just rough doing it all alone without help all the time. I got a little annoyed bc I had to haul a very heavy trash can to the road. Praise the Lord that the three kiddos are in bed at a good time and I am claiming a wonderful day tomorrow. I have already planned a few things for tomorrow so that we can keep busy in the AM and the PM. Thank the Lord for his mercy and grace that allows for everything to be washed away and to start over with a new great day and attitude. No one is going to rain on my parade tomorrow!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow also!

Happy 4th of July to all

This year was spend a little different. Our last 10 days have been totally devoted to our family. We needed this time. This time to think and grow and I mean 10 days out of 365 is not many to have alone as a family. It has been great. We have had so much fun. I am actually dreading Johnathon going back to work tomorrow. If we could have hit the lotto this past 10 days that would have been great.

Johnathon woke up and cooked us breakfast and then we swam all AM and he BBQ for lunch. He has been cooking so much and today the BBQ hit the spot for us. We all had a little nap and then we went shopping for a little while. We needed to get Parker's 2 year old outfit for pics. I know I can't believe he will be two!!! After our trip to BR we went to the locks in Plaquemine and let the kids play and ate dinner. I love listening to a band. That is my cup of tea-not so much Johnathon's. We had a good time and we decided that we were going to go there every year. You know make a tradition out of it. We didn't stay and watch the fireworks because well Uncle Paul has the best firework show around so we decided to go there and finish the 4th with them.

Well I am going spend a little time with my hunny since he will be gone for the rest of the week. BOOO:( Vacation should never have to end.

Tennessee Vacation 2011

Welcome to the Booksh Family Vacation 2011. I hope you enjoy the two posts of photos. I wish I could have posted many more but it took my two hours just to post the few that I did. ENJOY!

Who doesn't love some good ole Old Tyme Photos. I love those shops that take these. I think they are so much fun. Besides look how cute these kids are??? They loved dressing up too.

This was our trip to the Ripley's Aquarium. It was very nice and supposed to be one of the largest in the country. I think I am just partial to LA-But I liked ours better! They did have beautiful waterfalls and stuff in it though. The same night we went here Johnathon and Braden went up the mountain on a sky lift. They both loved it and I was very shocked that Braden went on it. Downtown Gatlinburg is so pretty. It is so overpopulated though. We were fighting all the tourists down there.

Can I say scared out of my mind! We missed our turn for Laurel falls and ended up almost to the top of the mountains. The highest point is 6000 feet and we were so close. I was scared. It was so chilly and once we stopped up there-I was ok and enjoyed the full beauty of the smokey mountains. That's what it's all about. The mountains stay smokey almost all day. I love it! This was in the Smokey Mountain National Park. It's massive. I can't even explain how big it is! Everyone needs to go here at least once.

This was our hike down to Laurel falls. It was beautiful as mostly everything in Tennessee is. At first it was very steep. It was a 2.6 mile hike and I wasn't feeling it at first. The great thing is it is a paved trail so we were able to push Parker in the stroller on it. That made life much easier. Parker isn't a big water fan so all these chilly falls and creeks were not his cup of tea.

Tennessee Vacation 2011

This was one of our fave places. Cades Cove. It had amazing views down in the Valley. It's a loop that you drive around and you can see old houses and churches and tons of wildlife. We loved it here. To me the Valley is much prettier than the top of the moutains partially bc being so high scares me:)

Nothing like a freezing cold creek. This creek was beautiful. I love the view of creeks while driving down the road. Can LA please get some pretty creeks?? That's one of my fave things. I wanted to take cute pics here with nice clothes but the kids insisted that they put their swimsuits on. This is all I ended up with:)

These are some of the pics from Ober Gatlinburg. It was so much fun. The kids really had a blast. I didn't get many pics there but they had to ride a ski lift all the way to the top of the mountain to ride down the alpine slide. They really were not scared of anything. Me on the other hand-I was not getting on all that stuff. So glad my kiddos are not scared of it though!

These are some of our photos from our last stop in Chattanooga. We love it there. We ate at Big River and then went to an amazing children's museum. By far the best I have ever been to.
